COPE Roadmap

The Cost of Poverty Experience has been designed to reflect the experience of poverty in various contexts. Find out how COPE can help your organization have a greater impact.

Preparation

Let’s get ready for your COPE! A minimum of 20 Resource Leaders are needed to assist in facilitating the systemic resources. We recommend that you have a mix of people from across the demographic spectrum of your community. Think Tank provides an online registration link for Resource Leaders to signup. We will also lead a training for Resource Leaders one hour prior to the start time of your COPE.

The COPE Floor Plan is an expansive guide on how to setup the chairs and tables, layout the materials, and more. Don’t worry: Monica, Lori and Heather from our team are here to help! Watch the video below on what it is like to set up for the big day.

Resource Leaders

Resource Leaders are those who have been given a special invitation to volunteer and take lead on a given Community Resource in COPE. Resource Leaders are typically asked to join us 1 hour prior to the session start.

Registration + Attendance

After booking your session, you will receive a unique registration link to share with your participants. We prefer this link is used so everyone can receive reminders before your session, and follow-up resources afterwards. If you are already convening your group and have a registration platform set-up, please communicate that with our team.

How can I know who has registered from my group? We now offer a live-registration report via Google Sheets for you to see who from your group has signed up. You will also be able to see who attended the session, and view the results from our survey, all in one place! You will receive a Snapshot, along with your Eventbrite Registration.

Next Steps + Follow-up

For each session, we provide a pre and post evaluation for your participants to see how COPE has impacted your Organization. See below for a sample of each of our surveys.

Participants who have registered for your session will receive an email the day after your COPE to a post survey and an invitation to participate in a 5-day Challenge. This follow-up challenge includes one short email each day, designed to help you reflect on the Cost of Poverty Experience, and consider where you could take action next.
