Hydrate regularly and monitor swelling or contractions.
Prenatal vitamins, possible medication for contractions if prescribed

Jennifer is 32 weeks pregnant at start of the COPE. She is at risk for early delivery. She will come to you in labor and give birth prematurely. This patient is also hearing impaired and you must communicate with her through sign language or writing. You highly recommend that she and the baby stay in the hospital for 9 minutes. You cannot force her to stay should she choose to leave early.
Post-Discharge
She should get plenty of rest, stay hydrated, eat healthy, and be sure to keep postpartum appointments. The baby must be seen at your designated Family Health Center within one week after discharge.
